I am the first in my family to possess a hand that is talented for the arts in a way outside of building. This gives me an insight many don’t have, as I focused not just on my artistry, but my studies as well. I am passionate and driven, and I bring ideas others may shy away from. Those ideas fruition to brilliancy, and those who once turned their nose now stare in interest at what I can create with nothing more than a pen. My studies into the sciences are intimately intertwined with my design - in a day I can work on a flyer for the university, slink through the woods to conduct my mycological research, and statistically code the results from the laboratory - before coming full circle, and designing those outputs into something far more visually appealing. I am a scientist and artist, and this allows me to understand the languages used within each and act as respected intermediary. With both of my skillsets, I enact change to the world around me.
